Home - Press releases - WebFG gives the Esprit network an advanced digital presence and data consistency with a new market data portal

Web Financial Group’s Digital Framework (SaaS) has been available for Esprit member banks since January 1, 2020.

The Esprit member banks’ new market data portal is based on the Web Financial Group’s Digital Framework (SaaS) and is supplied with market data from SIX Financial Information. In addition to the well-known AWP news services, AWP top news is also now available in the news area. Esprit member banks receive another innovation with the integration of Twitter messages from the source “The Market”. Additional functions are available for registered customers of the Esprit member banks, including the personal watch list and a portfolio function. The digital framework of the Web Financial Group laid the foundation for possible integration into the e-banking suite of Finnova Banking Software for the Esprit member banks.

The new «Market Data Portal» for the customers of the Esprit member banks further impresses with its intuitive user guidance and an outstanding responsive display, both mobile, on the tablet and on the web. A further expansion, including technical analysis tools, is already being considered for the future.

All asset classes (stocks, funds, bonds, foreign exchange, etc.), the pre-market of Bank Julius Baer & Co. AG and related news are now also available to Esprit member banks using international Valor numbers. This is just one of the aspects with which the Web Financial Group Digital Framework, in combination with the SIX data feed, ensures data integrity “front-to-back” (consistent data in core banking, in the portal and in e-banking). Accordingly, efficiency gains result in the form of a significantly reduced support effort.

The new solution from Web Financial Group supports the expansion of the investment business and customer segmentation for the Esprit member banks. Real-time statistics, usage evaluations and online user segmentation complete the offer.

Alexander Hines, Product Manager at Esprit Netzwerk AG, explains: “It was very important to us to position Esprit member banks in this area with a new and better, professional and responsive market data portal and to resolve existing difficulties from the old solution. With the “Digital Framework” from Web Financial Group, we have come a big step closer to this goal. With Web Financial Group, the change of data source to the SIX data feed has also brought with it data integrity which will support us enormously in our future projects. The extensive know-how, the peculiarities of the presentation and analysis of instruments as well as the news in the stock exchange portal, the scalability of the infrastructure, as demonstrated by the usage-intensive months of March and April, and the detailed knowledge of Web Financial Group in the data area have us a lot helped. The Esprit member banks are now well prepared for future market requirements and can respond accordingly. Thanks to the partnership with The Market (themarket.ch), it was also possible to quickly develop a suitable social media solution for the Esprit member banks. We particularly appreciated that in this time-critical project”.

Reto Gualeni, Director Sales Germany, Austria and Switzerland, says: “Our customers want to increasingly provide digital services to dedicated customer segments and expand their investment business accordingly. Using the “Digital Framework” from Web Financial Group, this is easily possible, and the future requirements of Esprit banks can also be flexibly inserted. Due to the data integrity with the core banking system from Finnova and its customers, the portal, e-banking and mobile banking melt together and guarantee smooth processing of the processes in the various digital channels provided.”
